Boundaries are meant to be pushed. Lines are meant to be crossed. At least they are in Christen Cole’s world. As Christen has immersed herself in the music of her heroes, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and the Moody Blues, she has come to the conclusion that their music is timeless because it is not married to a particular genre.
In 2010, Christen signed with E B Records, owned by veteran Nashville-based recording engineer/producer Bret Teegarden, who also believes music should be brought back to its original purpose of creating art. Each cut on “Just Walk Away,” was produced with the song as the focus with no preconceived notions of style. Christen’s songs weave a tapestry of emotions and ideas into a catchy, singable work of art that appeals to all ages.
